Yesterday, I had the strange pleasure of delivering a talk about the book to the Punishment and Social Control Group of the Law and Society Association. I say strange because it was a case of talking into my computer and hoping that a live YouTube broadcast would work… We did manage that, and an interesting text Q&A afterwards, which was helpful in proving that there were real people listening while I rambled on in my office!

The technology is actually a very clever way to get people together online internationally — and it recorded the talk, which stays available.
